How soon will the merchants on vintage theme need to upgrade to 2.0?

Thank you. Is there any timeline for the existing merchant to migrate to 2.0? From a software app development perspective, do we need to continue develop apps to continue support vintage theme? It feels like we will spend a lot of time to support vintage store but the vintage theme will no longer be supported for very long time. Any suggestions?
