App reviews, troubleshooting, and recommendations
Hi there,
just wanted to migrate to GA4 for my store.
When opening the Google App within Shopify, I get this error message:
Oauth error invalid_request: The redirect_uri is not whitelisted
Already deleted the app and re-installed, but didn't change anything.
Any way to fix this?

The "invalid_request: The redirect_uri is not whitelisted" error typically occurs when the redirect URI (Uniform Resource Identifier) specified in your Google App's OAuth settings doesn't match the URI that Shopify is using to authenticate your store.
To resolve this error, you can try the following steps:
1. Make sure that you've correctly entered the correct redirect URI in your Google App's OAuth settings. You can find this URI in your Shopify admin under Online Store > Preferences > Google Analytics. It should look something like: https://shopify-store-name.myshopify.com/auth/google/callback
2. Double-check that the Google App credentials you've entered in Shopify match the credentials you created in the Google Cloud Console. Make sure you've correctly entered the Client ID and Client Secret in Shopify.
3. Ensure that the Google App is authorized to access your Shopify store by going to Settings > Installed apps in your Shopify admin and making sure that the Google App is listed and has the necessary permissions.
4. If none of the above steps resolve the issue, try contacting Shopify support or the Google Analytics support team for further assistance.
I hope this helps you resolve the issue!

Hey @tomorrowgolf,
Are you still experiencing this issue?
The "redirect_uri is not whitelisted" error indicates that the redirect URI being used to authorize the Google Analytics app in Shopify is not registered as a valid redirect URI in the Google Cloud Console for the corresponding project.
I may need to reach out internally and let the technical team know!
