Why am I getting Pinterest merchant violation issues despite having authorized products?

Monday after setting up the Pinterest app I got a merchant violation because:

Merchant's domain URL is broken

In the app, the 3 URLS are green as accepted.

I asked Shopify support which was no help but to tell me to appeal.

I did appeal.

This morning I get this merchant violation:

Merchant is a resale marketplace

I am not a resale marketplace. 98% of the thousands of products are my own. 1% are imported as an authorized retailer. 1% are domestic products as an authorized retailer.

I have appealed this and it is my last appeal. I have no idea what the heck is going on at Pinterest. I have been on the Pinterest platform for over 5 years.

I have not only a Shopify store but a store on another platform that is my older webstore.

Anyone else dealing with these issues?

Hello @BrigadeGames,

This is Gina from flareAI app helping Shopify merchants get $6Million+ in sales from Google Search, on autopilot.

I'm sorry to hear that you're having issues with your Pinterest merchant account. It can be frustrating to receive these kinds of merchant violations, especially when you believe they are unfounded.

Here are a few things you can do to address this issue.

1. Contact Pinterest Support
If you have already appealed the violation and it has been denied, you can try contacting Pinterest support directly to discuss the issue further. They may be able to provide additional information or insights into why the violation occurred and what steps you can take to address it.

2. Double-check your domain URL
Make sure that your domain URL is working properly and that there are no issues with the domain name or hosting. This can sometimes cause violations to occur.

3. Review your product listings
Make sure that all of your product listings comply with Pinterest's guidelines and policies. It's possible that a specific product listing or category is triggering the violation.

4. Consider working with a Pinterest Marketing Partner
If you are still having trouble with your Pinterest account, you may want to consider working with a Pinterest Marketing Partner. These partners are experts in Pinterest advertising and can help you navigate the platform's rules and regulations.

I hope this helps you to resolve the issue with your Pinterest merchant account. Good luck!

Gina

We are also having the exact same issue "Merchant's domain URL is broken".

Our url is not broken - have had same website for 25 years. Green check marks next to url's - claimed website no issue in Pinterest. Trying to get in touch with someone at Pinterest simply seems to generate some type of AI response.  Completely useless. This process should not be this complicated and complete lack of any troubleshooting.

So then I'm thinking is the connection between the Pinterest app and Shopify causing the issue as Pinterest app is activated on our store.
