Why are .woff files appearing in my custom code assets folder?

My partner store's custom code asset folder has a ton of .woff files. I am not adding these files and neither is anyone else. Where are these coming from and should they be deleted?

I should add, the site has custom fonts installed through the FontPicker — Easy Google Fonts app. Could this be why all of these .woff files are uploading in the assets folder?

Any advise or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
