App reviews, troubleshooting, and recommendations
Hi, I'm a brand new user and I have set up some Products and Linked to tiktok however my Products are not syncing with the TikTok seller centre. Is there some trick to get them to sync. I've tested with various dropship sites and they all sync into shopify but nothing will sync with TikTok?
I've seen how to create paid marketing campaigns with video's but im not there yet and would just like some static products in the shop
Can anyone offer any advice on what I might be doing wrong.

Thanks, for replying I contacted them first and they suggested I just add the products manually. Which is not what I want
Something has changed now my items are now "approved for Marketing" but not "approved for shop" I have asked them what this means
I am having the same issue, did you resolve this ?
No, they keep telling me to contact shopify and as you see shopify tell me to contact tiktok so now stuck.
I even went as far as paying someone on Fiverr to help with the setup and has confirmed its set up right and should be working but cant help any further.
I'm now getting a message telling me I'm not Eligible, the eligibility criteria is you have a TikTok shop which was the first thing I sent up linked. Everything green I've met all milestones and can add products directly etc but they are not syncing from Shopify no matter what I do.
I am facing the exact same issue as you; it is so frustrating. 😞
I am also facing this exact same issue. Bounced back and forward between Shopify support and TikTok support. It is absolutely infuriating. TikTok support told me that they are unable to tell me why it says "not eligible" because "this is what the system says" and they do not know how the system works (????????). At this point I am considering moving to a different e-commerce platform out of necessity. It would be good to get some actual help with this @Blair
Hi @stegonomic,
Thank you for reaching out. I can completely understand how this may not be ideal.
To share some additional insight, third-party apps such as TikTok are directly supported by the app developer. Due to this, we would not be able to access the app to investigate why products are not syncing as expected. As I can completely understand the impact of this, I would encourage you to follow back up with TikTok Support to have them complete additional digging.
If you have any other concerns, please feel free to let me know.

Did you resolve this @delc90 ? What about you @HelenSong ? Are we stuck @SuperAngryFish ?
This integration between two systems is not working, and each side is pointing fingers at the other side...
I'm experiencing this toooooo! Its driving me nuts! How did you resolve???
Now third-party integration apps can solve this problem. They now support one-click batch syncing of Shopify products to TikTok shop, as well as syncing orders from TikTok Shop to Shopify's seller center. Navigating to the TikTok App Store you can find some solid integration apps such as Datech ShopSync. I'm trying it out and it's great for new stores that are getting started.
Love how it says SOLVED? When not one person has the issue fixed. Approved products should show in showcase and approved for shop then also TikTok shop to allow other members to find your products
i even unlinked Tiktok shop and it still never worked. Tiktok have updated there app as shop has become so popular but shopify integrating needs sorting. And TikTok customer service are useless!!
Sorry guys, I never got it working. I invested a considerable about time and money in this and it just wouldn't work. So I was forced to give up and move on.
It never got past tiktok blaming shopify and shopify blaming tiktok and nobody would take responsibility and actually look at my problem.
All very frustrating and disappointing
Oh man... just reading all this and half of me is relieved its not just me! and the other half is exasperated. Hope you all get sorted another way
It may be too late for you and many others (unless you're willing to give this a try), I was having the same issue and found this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ad-ThCrdMJ4&t=29s
I used the Silk connector to have TikTok and Shopify communicate because apparently they can't communicate with each other directly and using this connector resolved my issue and my items are now avail in my TikTok! Definitely easier to connect to Meta platforms.
thank you i will definitely watch it and try
After much research this is what I came up with as well was just coming here for confirmation. Thank. you for posting this.
THIS!!! Thank you so much for this post - I was able to successfully sync products between Shopify & TikTok using this connector. It's really annoying to have to do this and I wasted 3 days trying to figure out the warehouse sync error! It is an extra step, once you list your products on Shopify, you have to go to the connector and then sync to TikTok from there. Sigh... at least it works now.
The best solution for me was to download 3rd party connector
Sku IQ
Sync Through there into the “TikTok Seller Center” I had to check “Drafts” if they weren’t showing in the “Active” Listings. Then had to get each listing reviewed, then approved one by one, for them to become active listings.
So what is the solution?
Love how it says resolved but i bet it isnt!
anyone found out how to solve this issue in late 2022?
my products was on my showcase and i could add them to images as a tag product. But i wanted them to be also found via tiktok shop. So after many hours trying to add my products unsuccessfully i tried to dissconnect and reconnect the shopfify link and now no products show. I have numerous tickets open with tiktok and they are useless. Just get scripted replies all the time and not am actual person. Everything of mine is linked. Ad manager. Buisness center. Seller shop. Catalog manager. Even have brand approved and tiktok shop approved. And still not showing!!
my products ahow approved on the shopify app and in catalog. So they should show in tiktok showcase and be able to add to the shop if wanting to reach more customers.
Has anyone solved this issue? Or having the same issue
Still in the same boat as you brother, absolutely no help and no hope. Tiktok send me to Shopify, Shopify send me to Tiktok; and none of them know what is going on.
It is very very sad and frustrating...
Same buddy or i get “ i have passed it on to the relevant team and we will get back to you. They never do. Il add an image of all the cases i have tried. Its a piss take as being a small business and tiktok being ever so popular now you would think Shopify would have all this sorted and make access easier for us to link our products. We pay monthly to save having to do all the e-commerce ourselfs.
Instagram was a pain also and linking it all through facebook but this is on another level. Shopify need to update the app to work alongside tiktok shop.
i can create a product manually and it shows on my tiktok products but i REFUSE to have to do this for every product.
let me know if you get yours sorted
thanks
You guys get this TikTok shop email today with this section in? May be worth having a look as it says shopify. I am going to get my boys to bed and have a look and will update.
This looks interesting - do you have any general link for this or is the link specific to you?
I have this in my seller centre, but its been like this for a long time, no mention of Shopify, and clicking on any of them just take you to general web pages with some info, not any real integration
Has anyone found a solution to this? Its crazy that Shopify hasnt integrated with TikTok Seller center yet but Woocommerce has!
Anyone got this sorted? I have everything linked up and all products show in Showcase but not shop. When I try to do a Live it lets me add the products but then says that they are unavailable, even though next to it it says that they are in stock! It makes me wonder if this is something else such as not having the shop setupcorrect, bank account or enough followers?
I tried everything
deleted everything. Re set everything up.
all my products show approved. And still no luck.
when i first set it up it did work on tiltok business profile.and i coulld tag my products in tiktok posts. But then when i wanted to add my products to showcase and shop so anyone on tiktok could find and see my products and share them. Thats where it all went wrong and stopped working. so if you dont have shop. Just seller center and tiktok business it may work for you. I have opened around 40 tickets with tiktok support and there terrible. Just scripted reply's all the time.
or they say its not available yet and is coming soon.
shopify need to sort it with tiktok so it integrates properly. You can add the products one by one onto your seller center so they show on your showcase but im not copying and pasting all my products again when i pay for a service that should have these things sorted
I FOUND A SOLUTION!!! (WARNING - its still not great) BUT - i downloaded the Automizely Feed app (free) and synced it to my shopify and tiktok, now I can list all my products, I still have to map them one by one (map means select the right product category and click sync, not too laborious) - but then the inventory levels and images etc will all feed automatically. Hope this helps 🙂
Just a bit more info on this and a possible explenation to the issue, not a solution. Reading pages of TikTok marketing blurb I think we are the ones getting this wrong. The TikTok App for Shopify FAQ only talks about linking your Shopfy account for the purposes of advertising. What it doesn't state anywhere is that the app is about linking into TikTok Shop, which is their selling platform. This could be why we are not seeing our products within TikTok Shop Seller Centre but do see them in TikTok STORE manager, which is basically an ad platform, not the SHOP platform. The App, unless I'm wrong, doesn't seem to offer a link into TikTok shop so we won't be able to add products to sell within TikTok directly. Basically, if you want to pay to advertise on TikTok to drive traffic to your shopify website then the app works. But if you want to manage inventory to sell on TikTok directly its useless. The only way to do this is to re-upload it all seperatly in TikTok Shop Seller Centre and use this to manage products. pretty rubbish!
ok, now had this confirm from TikTok...
Hi there,
Thank you for your patience while I was waiting for updates.
The reason that you do not see the option to sell your products from Shopify on Seller Center is that they are two separate platforms and we no longer support their integration.
I understand that this may sound confusing, however, I will give you some suggestions of what you can do.
Please go to your Seller Center account and upload the Catalogue manually. You can download your existing one as csv. file and upload it then onto Seller Center as an alternative.
Thanks for this, i was just in the process of linking my shopify to tiktok just for this very reason so i could sync my products directly to tiktop shop!
Clearly this can not be done unless you are adding all your products manually on tiktok shop. Can't believe something so simple cant be done with the technology we have..
HEY.
thanks for setting us up this feed, its a bery bad that shopify and tik tok couldn't answer this, however with around 14 hours ( i kid you not ) of simply searching, getting annoyed shouting a little at my laptop, giving up, crying inside, hiding in the corner, then saying no, i'm not giving up on this, i believe i have found a work around, its not a perfect solution, but so far for me it appears to be working without having to manually add everything and manually authorise everything, create manual shippings and all that.
so basically, as far as i can tell, the issue has been identified that shopify and tik tok seem to not support the integrations between platforms, i think there was a meeting where they sat down and said, give us loads of money, then they said nope, they realised they would look like absolute wombles if they cut each other off so they said, fine, you can advertise and you can sell stuff here, then they made it so difficult to actually do it knowing that noone would go through all this effort to actually figure it out. but alas, i claimi victory,.. sort of. anyway, here is how i did it.
on the sales channels and apps, there is an app that noone has ever heard off so would never think to look there (a cunning plan indeed baldwick) its called aftership feed for tik tok, this will basically allow you to sync stuff there, i think its something like 10 products a month on the free version (my shop isn't active enough to do more than that so havn't looked into price plans)
you have to map products first, this is just a fancy way to say put them in a category, and there list of catorgaries is extremly vast but doesn't really give you the right listings, i just put the closest thing i could find to the actually description, they don't have phone cases as a list, you also need to add some unique reference code thing, i am not experiences enough to know what a gtin number, so i just put random numbers and will change it later if needed,
but this has alowd me to actually sync stuff, which in my book is a victory!!! and noone is taking this away from me. i was so hapy when i saw that mouse mat go on my tica toka store i cried a bit with tears of joy.
hope this helps

There are just not enough words in the English language to express my hate of this platform. The minute I can pay someone to migrate me to WooCommerce I am out. I cannot think of a worse platform that Shopify. It fails at everything. Naturally, the answer to their MANY failing is another damn app that costs a buttload of money. No thanks. Shopify and TikTok can kick rocks. Both are totally unprofessional.
I am not alone in this struggle to sync products to Tiktok. My products started syncing and stopped. Why, I do not know. Waiting for an answer from Tiktok and Shopify. After reading this discussion, I will not "hold my breath."
I have the same problem.
TBH I am migrating my client to Shopify purely because the Woocommerce Shopify integration doesn't work 😄
Now to find the Shopify one doesn't although it advertises it has blown my mind
Ok! I'm not sure if this will work for you, but it did for me.
Do you have more than one location for your warehouse? If so, make sure they are all updated correctly. Address and phone number.
If you only have one but have others deactivated. Make sure to delete the deactivated ones
I fixed this problem. I went into Shopify>Locations and made sure I only had one warehouse.
Then I went to Products and checked all of them. Since I have more than 50, there was an additional link to click so that every product was checked. I went to Bulk Edit then the clicked the columns icon at top right and unchecked everything and then only checked STOCKED AT column. I scrolled down and saw that MANY of my items did not have the default location (the only one I had) but had "MULTIPLE LOCATIONS" selected and this was what was causing the syncing problem. Once i made sure that every item had the default warehouse selected and nothing had multiple selected, I hit SAVE. Then I went to my TikTok shop and every single item that had 0 on it, now had the correct inventory.
I hope this helps you.
Thank you for chronicling all of this! It is helpful. I deleted my second location, but now I am stuck. When you say that you "scrolled down and saw that MANY of my items did not have the default location", I was wondering where you saw this default location? I don't see it on the bulk edit.
Hello Alisha,
Follow this step... I went to Bulk Edit then the clicked the columns icon at top right and unchecked everything and then only checked STOCKED AT column
So Ill explain this for everyone. I diagnosed it to my best ability this how this works. When you sign up to shopify, you create a unquie user/link/token ( example 8ddec-shopify 11123). As soon as you create a tiktok account/business where you type in your Id/license numbers for verification. it registers that shopify account to that id/number/license # to your tiktok seller account thats it is tied permanently too, to stop fraud. NOw this is the 1 million dollar mistake. As soon as you create a new shopify, try to avoid paying the 39.00 fee to get the dollar a month. you now broke the link, so when you try to register your new accout nothing works and it rejects your account as hello, this doesnt work. CAUSE SHOPIFY PROMOTES DELETING/Reseting instead of forcing you to keep your unquie ID, TIKTOK DOES NOT like that, AS IT IS THE ANTI FRAUD SYSTEM THEY HAVE IN PLACE.
so before example
shopify (gives) 8ddec-shopify 11123 -(push shop id)>to tiktok seller account ->ddec-shopify 11123/ Licence ID # (permenant)
new shopify account you make cause you decided to delete
shopify (gives) 7dfec-shopify 11130 - >
(push shop id)>to tiktok seller account ->ddec-shopify 11123/ Licence ID # (permenant) _does not update - > error, you get this account is already connected to account (tiktok anti system). It stated somewhere you can only connect 1 account.
so now you got to find a work around. or Get your mom/dad id lol
I’m having the same problem it’s so frustrating I have orders to fulfill but it looks like I gonna have to close my TIKTOK SHOP I’ve completed all the milestones and still not not sycing
