Why can't I access my Shopify Inbox messages?

I keep getting notifications on my phone that I am receiving messages through my Shopify Inbox (and subsequent reminders like "Hurry and respond before they leave your store", yet I am unable to access the chat from either the iPhone app or on my computer. I've tried on both Safari and Chrome.
