App reviews, troubleshooting, and recommendations
Hi,
I was really happy to find out recently Shopify released a bundle app to create and manage bundle.
Unfortunately today when I went to create a manual order with some "product" in the bundle app, says
"Bundles can't be added to orders"
This does not make much sense, because as customer can order pre-setted bundle product so I should or who for me, be able to add bundle product to my order.
Add them one by one, defeat completely the utility of the bundle app.
Unfortunately I can't even add a screenshot of the error as image aren't supported.
Actually even adding manually I see I can't add manually more then one variant per order, this do not make sense.
What i mean, even in the manual order if I select model M, size L, once added, to add a second item with same Model and size it says it has already been added(and even so, a better option would be to have a counter for the amount)
@CarmineT: Did you find a solution? I have the same problem here... and it's frustrating...
For now I have found a solution, using the shopify recentely introduced bundle app:
It does not work 😞
Indeed, one still need to add each item for draft order.
It does work only for order made by customer in frontend.
Indeed this is another small bug
It doesn't seem like a small bug. They have written code specifically to give feedback stating it's not allowed. WHY this is, is another question.
It does works indeed only when the customer place an order not on when done manually.
I don't know why this limit.
This is CLEARLY not a solution. Please remove it. We are asking for the ability to manually order bundles through the admin interface. See below:
Please UNMARK this as a solution.

Would love to see this being resolved asap
Count us in for the same thing. +1
+1 this is preventing us from testing new bundle SKUs within Ship Station to see if they come over properly using their bundle feature.

+1 Shopify, you need to resolve this glaring issue.

Managing Inventory with Bundles to act as Box Count SKUs makes persistent issues B2B Companies have had with Shopify easily fixed.
Being able to add Bundle Products to a Draft Order is the final step!
Does anyone who reads this have any understanding of why this limitation was placed? I'd just like to know if this is an oversight or a specific decision to address a specific use-case that could cause trouble? And if so, please articulate the use-case.
This is a big problem for us as some products are not supposed to be bought without buying a bundle. Which means some of the bundle products are drafts. This means we can't include them in the orders we create. I really hope this gets resolved soon!
+1 for us, this is causing big problems with a client of mine for a store we just launched. Please help, Shopify!
It looks like this still hasn't been resolved... come on Shopify
struggling with the same limitation. If anyone finds a way to include bundles in draft orders, please share!
Any update on this???
Make sure purchase the product via Online Store sales channel, https://<your-store-name>.myshopify.com for example.
For the requirement see https://help.shopify.com/en/manual/products/bundles#eligibility-requirements:~:text=Your%20store%20m...
please read the "title" Can't add bundle products manually
Yes, please pay attention to the original post.
At issue is the fact that Shopify, for no discernible reason, will not let us add Product bundles (bundles that are listed as a single product) when creating an order from the Orders page in Admin. Everyone here knows you can order them from the front-end.
I will check this from developer prospective and let you know.
Not sure though if even knowing the technical side, would be possible to change the app as it is from shopify and no one apart them has control
Cool -- although I believe most, of not all, of the admin pages are not available for modifications or override from liquid or otherwise. Hey, I would give a LOT to be able to modify the Order Fulfillment page -- like add a serial number field that could store into the Order Notes or a metafield. We've been avoiding all the various inventory apps that run their own servers/portal pages. We want to stay within the store interface without jumping out to someone else' site. Would be great if Shopify opened up the back end to modifications, even a little!
This is a ridiculous limitation of this app. I wanted to upgrade my customer's order to include a bundle and I can't add it. Very disappointed in Shopify for this, and it makes absolutely zero sense why it would be configured this way.
Having the same problem.
Even worse, I have an issue with the ordering of the products in bundle. There is no way to re-arrange the products in, or at least it is not clear.
I want to have a certain item show up in the top, and smaller items further down.
I've tried deleting the product from the bundle, and adding it again. Why can't it be in ordered like you wish?
Such a non-polished "app" from shopify. Wish we had a better alternative.
The app is still defective. I had the same ordering problem. Shopify support came back a few weeks after I pestered them about it with this:
Our specialists have come back to me and clarified how variant ordering within product bundles works.
At the moment we don’t have a mechanism to deliberately allow merchants to set the order they want. However, if you edit the bundle, deselect all variant options on the affected product, save and then go back and select them all again and save it will display them correctly.
YES!!!!!!
Thank you, Shopify Devs!
It's still not fixed on my side... Can't add bundle to a draft order. Any reason why?
