Why doesn't the star rating work on my Product Reviews App?

Hi!! I installed Products Reviews App, it appears on the products page but it is not possible to write a review because the star rating doesn't work. When you select the number of stars you wanna give, write the review and the submit, the rating selection appears to be empty again and thanks to that the review is not published. Can an expert help me please??  I've already tried to solve this problem on my notebook and multiples smartphones.

I understand that you're experiencing some issues with Product Reviews. However, just to clarify, it sounds like you're able to select a star and write the review but the review doesn't save and/or show up - is this correct?

 

If so, then it's possible that the issue is due to certain settings in your configuration. Can you check if you might've accidentally disabled automatic publishing for product reviews

 

If the automatic publishing is enabled and the issue continues to persist, then it looks like we will need to access your account in order to resolve this issue. While we are not able to provide account-specific support via the Shopify Community at this time, we’d be happy to continue assisting you through live chat, email, or callback. Please visit the Shopify Help Center and log in to your account to create a support request.

Hi @Elias . The automatic publishing is enabled. The exact problem is that I write a review, select the star rating but when I click to submit the review, the rating appears empty, it returns a error message and I can't publish any review because of that. Thank for your attention!

If the automatic publishing is enabled and the system is returning an error message, then we may need to take a closer look at the error message as it could be related to the theme, browser's settings, or an emerging issue with Product Reviews.

 

Can you tell us more about what the error message says?

We're having the exact same issue on our site as well. Started around March 15th, 2022. Previous to this it was working correctly. 

I've done a quick search in the forum here and it appears that others are also having this issue pop up recently.

I understand that you're reporting the exact same issue as @Intuitiv and it appears there are others who are also having this issue. That being said, I've taken a look at our support logs and I didn't have any luck finding any similar reports between March 15th and today. Just to confirm, are you also receiving an error message as well? 

 

If so, please tell me more about the error message and I'd be happy to bring this up with our Technical team. Looking forward to hearing from you!
