On desktop view, I'm finding the visitor's input field has a transparent background and it's difficult to see. It's fine on mobile.
In addition, the Close icon "X" is positioned over the Send icon, so they can't send a message.

Any thoughts on how I can resolve this. Thanks.

So, it seems to be an issue with Chrome where the two input fields, 'Email address' and 'Order number', occupy the same space below the chat window. In FireFox, they position within the chat window, one under the other and are totally accessible.
What does Chrome require to work with the chat?
So, in Developer Tools, I made some adjustments and have promising results in Chrome.
Disabling 'position: fixed' and a tweak to 'width: 99%'.
Where can I make these in Shopify so they are permanent? Can someone help me with that, please?
I have the same problem, I think this is actually a bug in the chat system.
It only shows if logged in as admin from what I can see.
Try testing as a user in incognito browser, it seems ok.
