Why is my online store loading slower after deleting unused apps?

Hello,

My site is papple-dapple-co.myshopify.com. My site was loading good - not missing a beat. But about 2 months ago, I decided to remove the apps I was not using like Oberlo, and several others. But before I deleted the apps, I contacted each app service, and asked if they would please uninstall their app. I never heard from any of them, approximately 10 or so apps. So after 3 weeks or so, I had hoped they uninstalled their app, and I deleted the apps on my end. Now... my store uploads slower than molasses down a Birch tree.

Sorry to hear nobody responded, that's not cool... but you can still access all your theme code to remove any old code, it just takes some time reading and testing.

Here's how:

1) Open up your theme editor in Shopify admin and duplicate your live theme, then work on the new backup theme, then start with reading theme.liquid, your main file you'll find old app code.

2) Read through and look for code / scripts / comments that reference an app you know you uninstalled

3) Remove that then preview and make sure everything works alright (you can do it either after each script removal or after all of them, it will just be harder to identify the problem if you do it after all of them... but usually there is no problem if the code is in fact not in use).

4) Then repeat for other templates (product, cart, collection, etc).
