Why is Shopify sending old orders to my webhook?

I've implemented additional webhooks in my Shopify setup to receive data, and as a result, it's now triggering updated events even for past orders dating back to 2022

I've received webhook updates for approximately 9,000 historical orders today

Got the same issue 2 days ago, I guess you never heard from Shopify about this?
