App reviews, troubleshooting, and recommendations
I have a message on my sales channel that states, "Facebook & Instagram does not have PayPal activated." I have PayPal active, what am I missing? If someone could help me with instructions on how to fix this, that would be great.
Thank you.

Hi, @G4GBoutique!
Welcome to Shopify Community.
Thank you for sharing your question with our network. If your store is located in the United States region and you have opted in for checkout on Facebook & Instagram, then you will also have to connect your PayPal account through their settings.
This is different from your Payment settings found in your Shopify account. To access them, you can add this to the end of your .myshopify.com URL:
/admin/settings/apps/app_installations/app/facebook-ads/payments
Let's say your .myshopify.com URL was example.myshopify.com, then you would go to example.myshopify.com/admin/settings/apps/app_installations/app/facebook-ads/payments
That will bring you to your Facebook & Instagram payment options settings where you can enter the desired information. If the banner does not automatically disappear after connecting the payment information, please connect with Meta Support from the Facebook Channel in your Admin.
I trust that helps,

Did not work for me. I see Paypal as connected in Shopify under FB and Insta shop settings. But under each product FB and Insta is not active as sales channel.
This did not work for me though 😞
Hi, @preethii!
Thank you so much for your response in our thread. If you are seeing this exact error, but PayPal is connected in your Facebook shop settings then you can reach out to Meta Support directly to have the error manually removed.
Please avoid reaching out to general Meta Support and instead click Get Support from your Facebook Channel through the Shopify Admin. That will get you to the right team.
There are some instances in which this was simply a display error that they are able to remove.
I trust that helps, but let me know if you have further questions.

I have gone back and forth with Shopify and Meta support for over a week. Shopify tells me to contact Meta support and then they can't figure it out so they tell me to contact Shopify. This is ridiuclous that this hasn't been solved.
Thanks for reaching out, @KraftyKoz.
To further clarify, the Facebook Channel is fully supported by Meta and not Shopify. With that being said, their email certainly sounds as though they are under the impression the payment has not yet been set up through your Shopify Admin and Facebook Channel settings.
You may connect with them to remove the error that it is not connected if it is, though if it is in fact not connected that will first need to be done through the instructions in my first reply.

Hi, @deadg1rlscloset!
If the issue persists on an incognito or private window, please connect to Facebook Channel Support through the app in your Admin. They will be able to further troubleshoot with you.
