Why isn't shop pay prompted to customers on orders with deposits.

We are using a deposit app - Downpay for taking deposits on some of our products.  However, accelerated checkout isn't prompted to customers whenever they order one of our products with a deposit option.  Is there a way around that?

@LiftDigital hey, I understand your problem is that you need a notification email or a push notification to customers when they choose a product with a deposit in advance.
You can suggest this problem to the application developer about your wishes, maybe your problem has been encountered by many people and they do not know how to handle it.
I see that Preorder applications will often pre-order and pay a portion of the order value, and when the goods are in stock, there will be a push notification letting the buyer know that their goods have arrived and they are ready to be delivered. product.

Hey! Thanks for your response. It's actually more that I would like the
accelerated Shop Pay option to be offered to customers. However it seems
that shopify doesn't allow any accelerated payment options, when there is a
deposit app involved. It doesn't work with Depo, Downpay or Split Payments
shopify apps.

Only just came across your post, but thought I'd reply anyway.

Unfortunately Shopify doesn't support accelerated payment options for pre-orders (which includes partial deposits), below is quoted from their Help Centre:

"Customers can't purchase pre-orders by using the following accelerated checkouts: Shop Pay, Apple Pay, Google Pay, or Meta Pay."
"Customers can't use local payment methods such as Klarna, mollie iDEAL, and Sofort to purchase pre-orders."
