App reviews, troubleshooting, and recommendations
My product reviews are not feeding to Google. In Google Merchant Center, I can see our old Judge.Me feed for reviews, but I can't see anything from Yotpo. In Yotpo Admin, it says we're connected and it shows that reviews are being pushed every day or two, but as far as Google Merchant Center indicates, there is no incoming feed from Yotpo.
Backstory:
We recently switched from Judge.Me to Yotpo as our review aggregator app. Judge. Me was great. Excellent tech support, packed with features, and low cost. But, they aren't fully Google approved yet, so while we were able to push Product reviews to Google, we couldn't push Seller Ratings to Google.
So, we switched to Yotpo. A lot more expensive, and we ran out of reviews quickly, so we upgraded our plan. The app is slow, shows loading errors, and tech support is horrible.
So here I am... Our Yotpo app has been installed for over a month. We have plenty of reviews, and review collection is going fine, but I need Yotpo to be talking to Google.
And now that's we've turned off Judge.Me, the existing product reviews are starting to cause errors. It appears that the Judge.Me feed is still active, but when we closed out account, it seems that they remove Review IDs from their feed, which is causing errors in Google Merchant Center and it's caused our products to almost completely disappear from Free Google Ads.
I wish I had kept Judge.Me going longer. I did a full month of overlap thinking that would be long enough.
Any ideas? Yotpo chat is always busy. When I finally connected, I was cut off, Twice! I've sent them an email and gotten a ticket number assigned, but they are taking days and weeks to reply to even simple issues.
Hey, @CJannes
Sounds like a tricky situation! I understand why that would be frustrating to your business. Since Yotpo is a third-party app, it would require their contact for technical support regarding their apps communication with your Google Merchant Center account.
It sounds like you have attempted to make contact with them but if you need to reach out to them again, you can do so from their help center.
Lastly, they do have some resources on Syndicating the reviews into Google shopping, and seller ratings. I would recommend going through their documentation if you haven't already here.

Thank, Dirk. Yes, they have documentation on their site, but the app does not connection. I’ve emailed them, tried chatting with them (the last time, the agent said he was going to check some settings and the chat “closed due to inactivity” because he was gone so long).
So, thats why I’m here in the community forums. I’m getting desperate.
And, this app costs over twice as much per month as our actual store subscription costs. That’s like buying tires that cost more than your car, and then the tires don’t hold air!
Thanks again for the attempt.
I don't think Yotpo sends reviews to GMC, they ping Google, for Google to crawl Yotpo website where the reviews are hosted.
It's similar to how it works with Trustpilot.
You can check if reviews are collected by appending your domain URL to this : https://www.google.com/shopping/ratings/account/lookup?q=
Without www
So it should look like https://www.google.com/shopping/ratings/account/lookup?q=example.com
Thanks for the help. That's very useful information. No one at Yotpo had mentioned that it wasn't a standard XML feed like some of the other review aggregators.
I thought that link checker you posted was for Seller Ratings and not for Product Reviews. We haven't enabled Seller Ratings from Yotpo yet. I wanted to get the bugs worked out of Product Reviews first. Regardless, when I check that link, it says that no ratings from Google and/or its partners.
Again, I think that link checker is for Seller Ratings only. Even when Judge.Me was reliably feeding the product reviews, that link was still empty.
Appreciate the help!
When you check the link, what do you see?
Hi... and thanks for the ongoing help.
When I check the link, I'm told that there are no ratings yet. According to some documentation I've seen on Google, that is why I thought this applied to Seller Ratings only, and not to product ratings.
Our previous review aggregator, JudgeMe, was publishing reviews perfectly, but they didn't do Seller Ratings as part of their app, so that is why we switched to Yotpo.
But even when JudgeMe was working perfectly, we still go the same "no review" message when testing using the URL.
You may be right, as the check for reviews, does not show on the product review documentation, and I just checked some of my clients who have reviews, and are not listed as well.
So I don't know how to check, because I have clients with trust pilot, and these reviews are not imported to Google Merchant Center, and these products are both product and seller.
But I do know, that reviews from yotpo are not visible in Google Merchant Center, as I have a client with lots of reviews, and it never shows, but do show on the product ads and free listings.
