Questions and discussions about using the Shopify CLI and Shopify-built libraries.
Hi,
Our app got delisted due to "Use OAuth to ask for scope permissions immediately after merchants add your app".
However, we have properly implemented the OAuth flow for the new and reinstallation cases but still, the Shopify team delisted our app. In multiple conversions with them, they are saying into their system it is not asking for the oAuth and permission, whereas it is working expected at our end.
Below is the video recording of the app installation flow at our end, which is clearly showing that we are asking for the OAuth flow, I requested the video recording from them to see what is happening at their end but they are denying it due to some security concern.

Does anyone else have gone through such a situation and can guide us on how to solve this?
Message from the Shopify team:
Currently, it is still not going through OAuth on our end. When attempting to install it goes to this page right away. See this screenshot for details I have also opened the inspect tool. Due to security purposes, a screen recording from our end is prohibited.
We had a similar problem, one of our apps got delisted for the same reason.
I believe they had an issue with one of their automated testing procedures and the automated test store did not uninstall the app after the first install. So once they tried to "install" the app again it automatically redirected the merchant to the app instead of going through the OATH flow, which is 100% correct, BUT the automated test was expecting to get redirected and it wasn't so it automatically delisted your app.
Keep at them and ask whoever it is to get another team member from the review team to look at the app, I'm sure you know which shops have your app currently installed and can prove to them that their test-shop was still installed.
Good luck
Gary
