Shopify themes, liquid, logos, and UX
Hi Shopify community,
Is there a possibility to upload 2 different product pictures and have them shown in multiple languages?
For English, there would be an English product and for the Swedish language, there would be a Swedish one.
Thank you!
no sorry it's not possible
Oh! But is there an app there to handle this matter? Because our products have different languages on the labels. It is the same product, but it is strange how is that not possible? Thank you very much for your answer.
no sorry doesn't allow Shopify admin
Hey, @Zdravko2.
Thanks @KetanKumar for chiming in. I wanted to expand on this and provide some insights:
@KetanKumar is correct, there isn’t a way to show a different image on the same product page, when selling in multiple languages. Selling in multiple languages allows you to translate your store’s content and can help with leading to more sales because your internal customers can better understand your marketing, product details, shipping and return policies.
This is a limitation and you can find a list of the limitations of selling in multiple languages here, which include search function (can only be used in the shop’s primary language), only compatible third-party apps can use this feature, tags can’t be translated, and product URLs will remain in the original shop’s language, even when viewed on a different site published in a different language.
I would love to know more about the reason you want this added - are there different marketing requirements for each language, or are you testing product images?
Let me know and I can do some digging or pass your feedback to our developers to consider.

But, I think I found the way? 😀
its image with text section doesn't a product
Well, they say it is possible to upload different image for different language. Will check out more about this. Thank you for your reply!
Hi,
Only that is the reason, text will be translated, we don't have a problem with that.
sorry Shopify doesn't all to product admin show to different image it only allow custom text and image if you need but product page and product image sorry
Thanks for the follow-up, @Zdravko2 and for more insight, @KetanKumar.
I took a look at the Shopify Community thread that you linked earlier and dug into this with our theme support team. I agree with @KetanKumar that you could translate plain text, but when it comes to using different images for the same product for selling in multiple languages, this would be outside our scope of support.
I recommend replying directly to that thread for additional insight and suggestions from the Shopify Community. Another option would be to hire a Shopify Expert to look into this for you. Shopify Experts can help with code customizations on your store. Check out our list of Shopify Experts here. To make things easier, I suggest linking to this help doc to show them what you’re looking to work with, and this current Shopify Community thread.
I have also forwarded this as a suggestion to our developers so that they are aware and can take a look. Your feedback is helpful for us so that we can continue improving Shopify to set you up for success with your business. If we move forward with this, then we will update all of our merchants and list this in our changelog or announcements page.
I would love to know how this works out for you! If anyone in the Shopify Community has any thoughts as well, please chime in!

Hi there,
Yes, you can definitely show different product images based on the language of your store. EZ Product Image Translate is a great solution for this. With this app, you can upload separate images for each language version of your store. For instance, English-speaking visitors will see the English product images, while Swedish-speaking customers will see the Swedish images.
This approach enhances the shopping experience by providing localized visuals tailored to your customers’ language preferences.
