Add a clickable slideshow without disrupting header & logo (debutify)

Hi

When I try and add a clickable slideshow it replaces my logo (even though I don't mind either version), but the purple background in the photo (which I also don't know how to change) takes over the white header when I add it.

What can I add into theme.scss.liquid to stop this, I want to keep my solid white header with the slideshow beneath it. 

Also how can I make the logo text smaller in the second photo so it fits better?

Hey, how did you fix the slideshow going over the header? and how do I change de overlay color? i have the same issues lol
