Add a clickable video banner on Dawn 12.0.0

Hello, 

I want to add a clickable video banner to my homepage of my website. I'm using the dawn 12.0.0 theme and need a code appropriate for this. Can anyone help with this?

You can do it the following way:

Step 1:

Step 3: After the image-banner.liquid code appears, replace the entire code with the code in this link and Save it:

Step 4: in customize theme, you will see this section appear:

You can paste any link or select products in the store
If it doesn't work, you can select the old code in this section:

Getting to the code is an advanced and fast solution but still not that reliable one. Every time global changes are applied to the theme, the code adjustments vanish, and you need to do it all over again. Additionally, you need to go deeper to keep it different for mobile and desktop versions. I see that no one suggested the alternative option of using an app. The advantages of using an app are that you have more control over settings without diving deep into the code. The main benefit is that you don't lose your code settings with global updates. I suggest you use Viddy. Go and check it on the Shopify App Store here. Our team recently used it for three stores, and it appeared to be pretty straightforward. I hope this will be helpful.
