Add custom fields to my newsletter sign up form

Hello, I would like to add custom fields to my newsletter sign up form. Right now the only field in the newsletter sign up is "email." I would like to add a field for first name ("nombre") and another field for last name ("apellido").

Can anyone share me the code I need and where I need to paste it?

yes correctly, The docs guide how to create form register, but i means you can refer to that form to see how to create a field in form and then you can reflected those fields to the form you want creating.
