I am currently setting up my site and using the simple theme. At the top of the page in the header are search bar, login, sign up and the cart icon. I'd like to remove Sign up and add text with links to pages directly. Example at the top I'd like Login, Store, About us, etc. I'm able to modify the side bar and the footer without issue but can't seem to figure out how to modify the header. I understand it is somewhere in the header.liquid but I don't see the text "Sign Up" in there so I don't believe that is the origination point for the info.
How do I adjust the header so I can add a drop down menu for selecting items and remove unwanted items from there? In the screenshot below you'll see the Sign Up that I'd like to remove and the empty space that I'd like to populate with other links.
Hi @dontribi ,
Simple features a sidebar that contains a navigation menu
From your Shopify admin, go to Online Store > Themes.
Next to Simple, click Customize.
From the Menu list, select a menu for the sidebar menu.
Steps for creating menus
You will also see in customizing the menu, there will be an option for sign up menu you can remove it.
If it will not work then send me the store URL.
Refer this video. you will have an idea how to create Menus
Hello, I don't have an issue with updating or modifying the sidebar. That I'm comfortable with. I'm looking to modify the bar at the top (shown in the screenshot previously attached) to add/remove items to that location. From what I understand it involves coding into the header.liquid file. I'm looking for assistance in locating the location within the correct liquid file to modify and subsequent code to input for the list/link.
