Add Search Bar To Homepage As A Section - Spotlight Theme

Hello Shopify Community,

I am having issues here. I am trying to add the search option as a section on my homepage. I want it to appear above the footer, but not in the footer. My homepage is simple. Because people are generally looking for a particular state park when visiting my site, a search option will likely be the most popular navigation tool. Also, how would I modify the text above the search bar to state FIND MERCH FOR YOUR FAVORITE PA STATE PARK HERE.

I am using the spotlight theme. Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated.
