Shopify themes, liquid, logos, and UX
Hello. I have a huge problem. I have added the following code to the end of my base.css file to change all of the buttons on my page (From this thread: https://community.shopify.com/c/shopify-design/how-to-bold-button-text-in-the-dawn-theme/m-p/1476077). I am also using Dawn theme.
The code:
.button, .button-label, .shopify-challenge__button, .customer button { font-size: 1.5rem; letter-spacing: .1rem; line-height: 1.2; font-weight: 900 !important; }
It did work properly in changing my buttons, but my Add To Cart button stopped functioning properly. As you know, when you click on the add to cart button, a pop up appears on the cart (in the top right corner), and it says your item has been added to cart, and a checkout button and view cart button appears usually, but since adding this code, this has stopped working.
My website: https://67ec63-2c.myshopify.com/products/tommy-hilfiger-veci-m-manji-l
I have tested this on 4 different devices, and in Incognito mode as well and the same thing is happening on all devices. Nothing happens when I click the button. I have to refresh the page for the item to be visible in my cart on most devices. On one of the devices I tried this on, is even worse, because when I click on the button it just starts spinning, and doesn't stop. If I refresh the page on that device, the cart is still empty, which is even worse.
The worst part is, that I have removed the code, was hopeful it is going to work, but it didn't. I have only added the code to my main theme, and even if the code is not there anymore, the buttons are all STILL formatted, like when the code is there. I have also tried changing my themes to some earlier back-ups, where I have never added the code, but the buttons are STILL formatted on ALL of the back ups I tried, without me ever touching them or adding the code to those back-ups. :'(
Please help me with this. I feel horrible because of this.
Hi @Zogi
I feel your frustration, but when I check your store and try the add to cart. This is what it come.
In the mean time I contacted Shopify support and it seems to be sorted now. Thank you so much for your reply!
That is good to hear then. 😊
