Add unmute/mute and pause/play to s Shopify Video section for autoplay videos

Hello, I've added a video to my homepage using Shopify's built-in Video section. 
I've successfully got the video set to autoplay -- however there are no controls to unmute and pause. It just keeps playing on mute. 

Is there a way to add the controls?
