Hi, I am currently trying to edit my footer section as the Tokyo-Theme seems to be very restrictive in this area.
What I want to implement is a second row below the footer menus but above the Social media icons. To this row I would like to add e.g. the logos of the parcel services we are using, a trust badge etc (incl. a small descriprion and in several columns). I am somehow not able to just duplicate the footer section and edit it via CSS as the theme editor is not allowing this. Do you have an idea on how to solve this? Bacicaly I need to split the footer section and add a custom section to show the information as described. Please have a look at the screenshots below:
Your help is greatly appreciated.
Hi @RF55 ,
Basically, you can search for footer.liquid file and paste the logo, trust badges and other details according to your need.
If you stuck somewhere, please message me or reply here and I am more than happy to help you 🙂
Hi Sachin,
Thank you, but I think this is doesn't match with what I want. Best case would to have added what I need to the theme-editor. In any case I would need to have clear instructions as I am not very good in coding / programming.
Thanks again.
@RF55 Can you please provide website link? We will try provide you the code which you can directly copy and paste or you can provide us the access and we will code it for you.
Hi there,
this is Anastis from Truly Fine Pixels, makers of the Tokyo theme.
Please don't modify any of the theme's code files unless you absolutely need to, as modifying code files hinders future automatic theme upgrades.
Via the theme editor screen, you can add a "Custom Liquid" section below the Footer section, and add any custom code there. This is the cleanest and most future-proof way to add code without modifying theme files.
You can always get in touch with our support team if you need any help adding whatever it is you need to add.
Hi Anastis,
Thanks a lot for your reply, the problem would be that the social media icons, language and country switch as well as the payment information and 'powered-by' section would stay above the custom liquid, which is what I try to avoid. I think this is something you could improve on Tokyo. Otherwise I really like your Theme - good job!
I will get in touch with you separately, thank you!
Kind regards
