Adding cart icon to header menu

I'm looking to add a custom cart icon to my site menu header, as the current "Impact" theme I'm using does not have one.

I would like to replace the word "CART" with the below icon and have it link to the same page (the cart page of my site).

It seems that you hide the default cart icon and insert link for cart in navigation. You can change the default icon into the icon you want using it's svg code.

I suggest that:

1. Remove the link from navigation of cart and show default icon of cart.

2. Copy svg code of your icon and replace with the default cart icon svg code in editor. 

With this you can show the icon of cart.
