Adding Dawn 14.0 to library not working

I have Dawn 10.0, tried three separate times to add Dawn 14.0 to my library so I can review and note which custom code snippets did not transfer over before publishing the new update. I just get the spinning wheel of death; the updated copy of Dawn never finishes its process; Dawn 14.0 is never added to my library. 

I've tried:

-Closing out everything and re-opening Shopify

-refreshing the page multiple times

-attempted download on three non-consecutive days

-simply waiting for up to an hour

Unfortunately this happened to me before and basically had to recreate my entire site.  I'm currently at version 13 and now the version 14.0.0 is doing the same nonsense.  Shopify needs to make an updated version to FIX why the updated versions won't upload correctly!  Let me know if you come up with a solution and I will do the same!

Solved. I went to the Popular free themes section and clicked "Add" Dawn. It only took a few minutes. It installed, then the original "update" notification disappeared, never to be seen again. The new installed Dawn 14.0 theme did carry over a lot of my store content from Dawn 10.0. Still going through it to compare what is missing, but at least I don't have to start from scratch.
