Adding new background Color Scheme not working - Dawn Theme

Hi guys,

I'm trying to add new color schemes to change the background color in a slideshow section.

I've followed this guide https://ecommercepot.com/shopify-qa/color-scheme/

I have modified the following codes 

• config/settings_schema.json
• config/settings_data.json
• layout/theme.liquid
• assets/base.css
• sections/slideshow.liquid

I've managed to create the new background color and it's gradient (see image 1)

I can select it as a color scheme in the section (see image 2)

The issue is that when I select it, it affects the button instead of the background (see image 3)

I don't know what I'm doing wrong exactly. Can anyone help?
