Shopify themes, liquid, logos, and UX
Hi there, I have an app block in my footer on my site www.shopbaileybee.com, but the color scheme for the app block is not matching the color scheme of the rest of my footer and because it is an app block, I'm not able to change it in the theme editor.
This is Sense theme
Is there coding I can plug somewhere to make the app block color scheme 3 instead of 1 that it currently is?
Do you have a Screenshot of it, all I see is a bug error and those app icons:
It is this form at the top of the footer section

I did reach out to Klaviyo already but this isn't a Klaviyo fix. This is a Shopify fix. It should be semi-easy to change the assigned color scheme of an app block from Scheme 1 to Scheme 3.... I don't understand how this isn't integrated already
how are you adding the Klaviyo form? can yo create a container and add this class to have the background: `color-scheme-3 gradient` ?
Hey Kevin, I'm adding the form via the app block option in the theme editor. Where would I need to add a container?
I believe it might be complex if you don't code as the only solution I can think of is going inside Code Edit. Two solutions I can think of:
1 - Make a custom section just Klaviyo form and add the block inside it
2 - Add the block inside the Footer section and customize the footer code to style how you want it.
Unfortunately, that's already what I've done.
I understand that but you need to create a custom section similar to 'App', and 'Footer' and inside that custom section you can add the container with schema class name, all this if you are familiar with the code. I wish I can come up with easier solution
An app block is developed by a third party the integration is their responsibility not the platforms.
It is third parties responsibility or choice to not take on the responsibility of how well an app block integrates with various themes.
If a third party chooses to not have polished theme integration then it's in customization territory; if customization is even possible based on how the app block is implemented.
