Assign Metaobject definitions to Metafield Definition?

Trying to assign Color Metaobject definitions to Metafield Definition so it appears under Product lists and collection page but I can't figure out how to assign them?

Is there a special app I can use that makes it easier or can I do it through shopify?

Also do I need to manually assign all colors to the metaobject/metafield?
