Banner Slider - The slider button controls make parts of the slide show images not clickable

My online store has a banner slider, and it works perfectly. The area along the two slider carets is not clickable when the mouse hovers over it, or when we try to click, the cursor becomes unclickable. I want to keep the slider buttons, but when we click on the area of the slider, it still links to the image link. The below picture describes the area that is not clickable. It is all the area between the left and right carets buttons (previous and next buttons of the slider)
