Shopify themes, liquid, logos, and UX
I am working on a site for a bakery that accepts orders 48 hours in advance, for pickup 48 hours (or more) in the future. Orders must be placed 48 hours in advance, so the idea is to prevent people from trying to place orders for immediate pickup (or less than 48 hours pickup).
I'd like to incorporate a calendar/date picker of some kind, but am a little unsure what is the best/most seamless way to achieve this.
My thoughts so far:
Making it a mandatory selection in the checkout feels like the best/cleanest implementation to me. Perhaps there are better ideas altogether than a date picker of some kind, but I don't have any better ideas.
I am in the early stages of pulling the site together, but the link is: https://level-5-donuts.myshopify.com/
Thanks!
Hi Johnrockwell,
Veno from Zapiet here.
Our Zapiet - Pickup + Delivery app seems well-suited for the business scenario you described in point 2.
Through Zapiet Pickup + Delivery, customers can access and interact with a widget featured on your store's cart or checkout page. With this widget, you can easily enable store pickup, delivery, or shipping services - or any combination of those three. Depending on your Zapiet plan, you can access a suite of features, including preparation times (blocking same-day or day-after pickup), blackout dates, order limits, product date restrictions, and product-specific preparation time.
Additionally, you can integrate the app with other services such as productivity, subscription, and last-mile delivery apps. Using the app, you can also manage orders, send special notifications to customers regarding pickup and delivery times and dates, and customize the widget to match the style of your store.
I suggest checking out our demo store at https://zapietdemo.myshopify.com/, as it will give you a glimpse of how the app looks and functions from a customer's perspective.
You can try out our Zapiet Pickup + Delivery app for free by taking advantage of our 14-day free trial. Just follow the Shopify app store link and start setting up the app with your store: https://apps.shopify.com/click-and-collect.
If you need more information or help with configuring the app, feel free to contact our support t support@zapiet.com. We offer support via chat, email, and live calls.
The app looks great. It might be cost-prohibitive for us, given that we wouldn't be taking full (or even half) advantage of all the features, but thanks for the recommendation! I will keep it in mind for future projects.
