Brooklyn Theme: hide empty collections

Hello,

Is it possible to hide empty collections from the main menu and from the all collections list? I'm using the Brooklyn theme.

Thank you for sharing your question with our network. Before answering your question, I do want to emphasize that Brooklyn is an older and outdated theme that does not qualify as an Online Store 2.0 theme. The introduction of Online Store 2.0 themes allowed for new features that may not be available in vintage themes like Brooklyn. 

What does that mean for your store? In short, you can still use a vintage theme, however, it may be unpredictable as technology continues to develop and support for the theme will also be limited. With that disclaimer out of the way, I found this incredibly helpful forum post from a couple years ago that discusses a solution to your question on another similar theme. 

I can't guarantee that the solution will work for you, however, a lot of the themes during that time used a similar layout and base code so it should do the trick.
