Can I add Phone number to client registration page for Ignite theme?

I use the ignite theme and I want my customers to log in either through email address or phone number. Is this doable?

Shopify lets customers log in with their email by default, but logging in with a phone number depends on your customer account settings.

If you’re using Classic Customer Accounts, they must use an email. But if you switch to New Customer Accounts, Shopify allows logins with either an email or phone number—no password required, just a one-time code.

To enable this:

1. Go to Settings > Customer Accounts in Shopify.
2. Switch to New Customer Accounts if you haven’t already.
3. Shopify will now let customers log in with their phone or email via a one-time passcode.
