Can I open an adult store with specific boundaries on an e-commerce platform?

Hi, 

I want to open an adult store; I contacted the customer service they gave me terms of service and acceptable use policy. unfortunately I reached to nowhere as it is not clearly mentioned, can somebody please advise if it is possible to establish such a store by shopify, also can you please advise if there are boundaries or items that I can't add to my store.

also is there any advice for what theme you think I should choose.

The most difficult part of running a business like this will be finding a payment gateway that suits your needs. If you are hoping to use Shopify Payments I would reach out to our live support and request a review before you launch  to ensure that your business is eligible. There is no guarantee that a store will be able to use Shopify Payments, and many times the review would take place after the first few orders. This can interrupt your cash flow if your business is denied, so having that review done before you launch gives you a chance to find alternative payment options for your business.

it can't go with this option. Shopify will block your store as their policy. Don't host this in shopify. go other website platform
