Shopify themes, liquid, logos, and UX
Hi Folks,
I signed up for a Basic Shopify plan taking advantage of the "$1 for first 3 months offer." However, when I try and update my theme to build and customize my site, the themes seem to be adding, but nothing is showing up when I check Online Store > Themes on my site. This seems confusing. Am I required to upgrade to a more expensive plan to use a free Shopify theme? Anyone have any suggestions on what I may be doing wrong? @GrabrielS
Thanks in advance!
Hello @Eatwood
You can use themes on Shopify Basic plan.
After adding the theme, you will see it in the Theme library section, use it by clicking Publish, so it replace current theme.
Hope it helps 👌
I have the same problem, it acts like its adding the theme, but nothing shows up in the themes section.
Same issue I'm having. Any luck getting it to work? I've watched countless videos and all the menu options they're showing don't show up on mine!!
As you answered above "After adding the theme, you will see it in the Theme library section, use it by clicking Publish, so it replace current theme"
I don't see that option under the themes tab on my admin profile. I've "added the theme" but it's not showing up
Same issue here. It's very misleading. My sense is that you need to upgrade to the basic plan to get access to 10 free themes. It needs to be more clear. I'm on chat hold for 45 minutes and figured it out while waiting.
