Change account image to text / change cart image and add text

I am on the Trade theme.  I would like to change the account login image on the header to text and to say Login / Register when not logged in and to display "Hello, "Person's Name", when logged in.  Then a divider between this and the cart.  I would also like to replace the cart image, instead of showing a bag, to show an actual shopping cart.  Next to it, on the right side would like it to say Cart.  How can I make these modifications?
