Shopify themes, liquid, logos, and UX
Hello,
I would like to change the background our paradigm wheels collection to an image that I have in my content / files section. This is the image URL. https://cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0686/5741/4330/files/map2.jpg?v=1745372237. I would like to change it on this page: Paradigm Wheels – THRUSTWORKS . I only want it on the Paradigm wheels collection. Not all collection/categories pages like it is now.
Can someone help? I have tried to follow instruction and videos from youtube but nothing seems to work when I edit the code.
Thank you
Hi @Thrustworks
You should be able to do that with a new collection template. So in theme editor on collection page, from top option choose "Create template"
Then a new popup will appear where you can name that template, use for example, "paradigm" and save. A new collection page will open but notice a new template name and that currently it is applied on 0 pages.
Add your image as a banner and do not forget to click Save. The last step is in admin to go to your Paradigm collection and in templates choose the newly created "paradigm" template and save. That should be it.
Will that just be the banner background or everything?
That will be a completely new template, but it will copy your current template and the only difference can be the banner background or anything else specific to that collection.
@Thrustworks we can put custom css class to this page and using this class can put image to this page only and not all the others
