Shopify themes, liquid, logos, and UX
I know this has been asked before, I have read and tried some of the solutions such as linking to an external style sheet to include uploaded fonts BUT none of them worked for me (can't even upload SVG fonts but let's leave that for a different discussion).
Being able to customise the packing slip that is included with every shipment to customers is a 'basic and simple' feature so I am once again blown away by the lack of native support for this.
Am I missing something? Is there really no easy way to change the font on the template? and if not, what would be the logic behind this? It can't be because it's difficult to implement, so what am I failing to understand?
It's utterly baffling to me. More so because there is an entry in the packing slip CSS for font-family, but changing it has no effect. It's SO basic, why is it impossible to do?
Stuff like this, I wish I'd known before committing to Shopify. Overall, it's all right, but I had much more control over the basics on my old platform, and the necessity of either learning how to code or paying $$$ every month for also-pretty-basic additions is infuriating.
I couldn't have put it better, this is the Shopify way, it comes with many advanced features that most basic users won't need but when it comes to the basics, they are missing and you end up needing to pay for an app or a developer to implement them. Clearly this is designed to generate more revenue for Shopify and infuriating is the right word.
