Change Hamburger Menu to Horizontal Menu

Hi! I see this question has been asked a lot within the community but unfortunately no solutions have been posted. I'm using the Narrative theme and I'd like to change the hamburger (3 lines) menu to a traditional horizontal text menu. I know custom coding is required to do this, which I am comfortable doing. Any help is greatly appreciated! You'd be helping a lot of people in the community!
