Shopify themes, liquid, logos, and UX
We are moving 2 websites to Shopify and have over a 1000 pages to move and when we finally get started we can not even see the whole page as we try to build our pages. How did we overlook this when comparing website builders and ecommerce solutions. I have searched everywhere.
How do you change the window size on the page content, blog content, and product description area.
That window is like 500 wide and my website is 1200 wide.
There is no way I can work in such a small window it will take forever.
This form I am filling out is twice as wide as that small window.
How do I adjust the size of that window.
PLEASE HELP ME!!!!!

Hi @Thomas007,
Are you referring to this?
It belongs to Shopify Admin and there is no way to change it. You can just use some build page apps to support this, refer: https://apps.shopify.com/pagefly
Hope it helps!

Yes that's really disappointing. That's what I found out. I looked at page builders we have like 300 pages to move that would put us into a $200+ a month subscription service. Do you know any other workflows? Maybe using a html editor and just copy and pasting the information in. I think its adding the pictures that make this very difficult to use in the small window. Text is fine but add a picture and it gets complicated.
Hi @Thomas007,
Yes, you can manually add the HTML in another builder software, then copy the HTML, it will display the same.
Just when you paste the code, you change the interface to 'Show HTML'.
Hope it helps!
Thanks for helping me out. I really appreciate it. I have spent more time and have come to some conclusions.
I think it is crazy that Shopify has not addressed this. This window I am typing comments in is resizable and wider. I created another thread that talks about the end user experience. This is crazy that Shopify is a website builder and the most fundamental part of building a website is the the last thing they try to innovate -> the actual screen and page where you build the html. This reminds me of some other website companies I know that owned the space for a while and then lost their market share because they did not focus on the end user experience.
Another company come along and focused on what was important and killed them.
Totally agree. @Shopify continues to push everything into expensive plugins instead of addressing their own interface issues. why even offer a window to edit at this size.
Hi @LitCommerce, thank you for the recommendation.
Hi @Thomas007 ,
This is PageFly - Free Landing Page Builder.
Device Sensitivity is a feature inside PageFly which allows you to set parameter values for a specific screen such as a laptop, mobile, or tablet. Once selecting an element, you will find the ‘computer monitor screen’ icon next to each parameter in the styling tab.
Besides, you can find some free templates from us here. In case you want to rebuild the page on PageFly, our team is offering a program called "converting page" to help you rebuild 1 page on PageFly.
If you have any further questions, feel free to let me know or you can contact our support team via Live chat to connect with us directly. We are there 24/7 to help.
Thank you all and have a nice day!
