Change The Color Of A Single Main Menu Item

ShopJadeira

Hello to all the Shopify community :-),

I need help for CSS coding on Studio Theme -> I would like to change the text color of only one of my main navigation menu to highlight it.

The "HALLOWEEN SPECIAL" navigation menu should appear In Orange rather than white
I tried to quibble with the code but nothing to do, the color does not change. I'm having trouble identifying my menu or placing my code incorrectly on my CSS stylesheet.

Thank You!

Hi @ShopJadeira

Try this one.

  • From your Shopify admin dashboard, click on "Online Store" and then "Themes".
  • Find the theme that you want to edit and click on "Actions" and then "Edit code".
  • In the "Assets" folder, click on "base.css, style.css or theme.css" file, depending on which file your theme uses to store its CSS styles. At the bottom of the file, add the following CSS code:

#HeaderMenu-halloween-special > span {
    color: #ff9900;
}

  • And Save.
  • Result:
  • Made4uoRibe_0-1693924373112.png

I hope it help.

Hello,

I have tried this solution in base.css but it doesn't seem to be working. Am I doing something wrong or is the theme I am using stopping me from making this change? I am using the Be Yours theme.

To add and icon you need to insert code to the liquid file. Youll need a developer to do it. Seems liek you already colored red on mobile.

Ok, it looks like you are the person to talk about changing the color of one menu item on my header.  I went through the previous posts and not one is using the Publisher theme.  Is this functionality possible on this theme?  Would love to change Class of 2025 1/4 Zip to red.  Would love your help!!!  Thanks!

Check this one for you.

In the "Assets" folder, click on "base.css, style.css or theme.css" file, depending on which file your theme uses to store its CSS styles. At the bottom of the file, add the following CSS code:

a#HeaderMenu-class-of-2025-1-4-zip, a#HeaderDrawer-class-of-2025-1-4-zip {
