Shopify themes, liquid, logos, and UX
Hi, I'm just starting to build my new Shopify Site using Dawn. I currently only have UK market as active. After discovering that there was a default template that makes changes to a Europe, International and UK template I'd already made changes in the UK template. Ideally I want to be making changes to the default template so if I decide to turn on other specific markets at a later date then I can then tweak them. I have changed to making the any template alterations to the default template however I'm finding none of the changes I make are appearing in the UK template.
How do I reset the UK template so any changes I make in the default one are reflected in the UK template also.
Many thanks
Wendy
Hello @Wendy22
Go to Customize ----------------------> at the very top you will see the Markit option " Default" Select the market there and make the changes according to your requirement please check screenshort.
Please let me know
Thanks
Hi Thanks for responding... Yes I can see where the options are however I stupidly started to make changes in just the UK so no changes were being made to the default or international ones so I reverted to selecting the default template you have shown in your screen shot and started making changes in that template but unfortunately any changes I make in the default template are not showing up in the UK template but are being reflected in the Europe and International ones.
I'm assuming that any changes I make in the default template should make changes to any of the markets I have saving me having to go into each one individually.
I'm just trying to work out how I get any changes I make in the default template to appear in the UK template or is it too late because I've already started out with making changes to the UK one?
Thank you I've found it... I had to go into the UK template > Home Page > and under the homepage template options on the left hand side clicked on the two turning arrows next to the word template which when you hover over them say "reset to default context" and it has reverted that page to the default page. I have done the same for the product template and that now shows the same as the default product template.
Hello @Wendy22 no problem please let me know if you have any questions
Please give a like and accept the solution
Thanks and Regards

Hi Wendy,
I am having the same issue. Do you have a screen shot of this as I still cannot get my default theme to push to my live preview.
