Changing font weight on customer notification emails

Hi Everyone, 

 

I've been able to edit the coding on the shopify customer notification emails by changing the fonts, font size, logo placement etc, but I can't seem to figure out how to change the font weight on the Order Confirmation email or any of the emails that have the Order Summary included, which shows the product image, product title, price etc. 

 

Everything else is fine, except the name of the products is VERY bold, as well as the total price. I can't seem to figure out where in the coding I would be able to add or change something to make the info in the Order Summary chart not be weirdly bold.

Bold product names and prices in Shopify Order Confirmation emails? Here's how to fix it:

Option 1 (Limited Control):

  • Add general CSS to reduce font weight for all headings in the email (might affect other headings too).

Option 2 (For Developers):

  • Use browser developer tools to inspect specific elements (product name, price).
  • Find the CSS class controlling those elements in your theme code.
  • Adjust the font-weight property within the CSS code to your desired weight.

Hi Theodor,

Sorry to butt in to this chat, but I found one of your posts/response to a member who was having an issue syncing their data over to Quickbooks Enterprise Desktop, using the Quickbooks Desktop Connector App. Having the same issue with my Quickbooks Enterprise Destop 24.0 and wondering if you can provide your services to help us to with this issue.

Dear @heather_1211 , 

I have reviewed your requirement, you just need to edit code in settings email  and the issue can be resolved.  You can follow my instructions! 

 

Step 1: Shopify admin => Settings => Notifications => Customer notifications :

Step 2: Order confirmation => Edit code:

In this step, you can edit css/ html to would be able to add or change something to make the info in the Order Summary chart not be weirdly bold.

Step 3. Save and send test email to check.
