Changing my Blog Design

Hi, I am looking to change the design of my blog page. I would like my page to act similarly to the below example (URL: https://www.jjjjound.com/blogs/projects/timberland) with some notable changes (shown in red).

I would like my blog page to have a side menu listing the previous blog entries. So in my case, Vol. I, Vol. II, etc. 

I would also like the blog page to open straight into the latest entry. So instead of going to the initial landing page (2nd screenshot) you are taken directly to the blog entry (3rd screenshot).
