Hello I need help, have created 6 collections and I need them to display on the landing page of my store naming then. But the free theme except from Dawn are not giving me option to do so. is there anyway I can get this done with other free themes
@Adezcreative , hey, thanks for posting here.
Yes, you can absolutely do this with other free themes too — it just might require a small customization.
Here’s what you can try:
Go to Online Store > Themes > Customize
Check if your theme has a "Featured Collection" or "Collection List" section.
If it has Collection List, you can manually select your 6 collections and they’ll appear on the homepage.
If it doesn’t show the names, you may need to enable or add a title display in the theme code.
Custom Code Option (If Needed):
You can edit your theme’s sections/index.liquid or create a custom section that loops through your collections and displays them with titles.
If you want, I can share a small code snippet to help you show the collection names — just let me know which theme you're using. 👍
Hope this helps!
Hi you have collection list section you can use
Hey! @Adezcreative,
If your free theme (other than Dawn) doesn’t have a built-in section to display multiple collections on your homepage, you can still do it by adding a custom “Collection List” section if your theme supports it, or by using a custom HTML section to manually link each collection with an image and title — otherwise, you may need to switch to Dawn or a theme that includes this feature by default, or add a small custom code snippet to create a grid of your six collections on the landing page.
Hello @Adezcreative!
Most of Shopify’s free themes include a section that allows you to render a collection of products for your store. Below is a step-by-step guide to add the same:
