Collection list color change

Hey there, I am experiencing difficulties with the collection list. I want to change the color of the collection list to a gradient, with orange on top and white on the bottom, but whenever I try to change the color, it changes the color of the whole theme. Do you have any idea what code I should add to the custom CSS to change only the color of the collection list and leave the theme color as white? The code for the orange color is #eb690a. I appreciate all the help in advance.
