Craft Theme Product Siblings

Hey, 

I can't be the only person wanting to do this...I would like product siblings on my craft theme.
 

So I would like products on my collection page to be separated but when you go into the product all product siblings (colours) will be there...

Any help please?

I think I want the opposite of you, 2 different products on my backend to appear as parent options to different variants within the same single product page...

but YES I want this too!

I dont have any specific references at the moment, but what I am hoping for is a product agnostic discriminator for a "parent" product that assigns a default "product type" to the parent, allows for setting of user definable product types, and then allows the user to assign a product from their library to each of the "types" designated in the parent product.

It should create an addition to the product page interface that functions identically to product "options", but is user definable and updates the product page gracefully to view these product "types" based on individual products in the catalogue and not options or variants defined in the product"
