Create preview of menu section on hover - Dawn theme

I would like to give a little preview of my "DIY Darlings" section when someone hovers over it in the menu. It could open a window underneath and display a short description and the last two posts e.g. 

window underneath menu with images-description could be to the left:

Anybody an idea how to tackle that? I understand its not something done with 10 lines of code but maybe someone can help regardless.

This is quite the complicated thing to implement, you can buy the theme which already have this feature you can explore envato for low budget theme and they have quite the options.

Second option I suggest you to hire a developer from the local place or the person you can trust rather than online for the security concern of your store

Images with either titles or brief descriptions in a mega menu are exactly what we created Meteor Mega Menu for. If you're open to an app solution we have a few templates that will accomplish this.
