Custom Font for Dawn Theme

Hi all, this is now my second shop and as it is wedding themed products I need custom fonts in my theme.

I have the latest version of the theme and also have 2 different fonts for head and sub notes.

How can I install them in my code and which format I need them.

Hey @hochzeitsbuch 

You have reached the German community here but we can chat in English too, that's no problem!

We generally advise to the use the many fonts of the Shopify "Web-Safe Font" library as there is a long list of great fonts in it and I'm sure you will find a font suitable for your wedding themes store is bound to be amongst that list. 

The reason is, that it is: 

1. ...difficult to install a custom font (usually requires an expert in this area as there are a lot of things you need to consider) and... 
2. ...a custom font does not always render in the browsers of the online shoppers who come to your store.
   • If their browser does not have your custom font pre-installed, then it can't pre-load the font and will render your store with a different font of its choosing. Plus it will show an error in the browser of your customer that looks something like this:

However you may find our developer doc on custom fonts helpful here and a community thread on that here where a partner shows in a video how to do it. You can even tag them and ask any further questions, should any come up.
