Shopify themes, liquid, logos, and UX
On my Debut theme it seems like I can't have sub sections on pages other than the Homepage - without editing the code.
I want a home page with a basic image and intro text.
Then on a series page I want artworks in collections, with a "mini series" sub section (which I can only seem to do on the homepage)
I did edit the code and thought it was working, and attached the theme to each page... but because I copied the homepage code to my Series page, anything I change on the Series page now copies across to the Homepage. I think that's why anyway...
So what I want to be able to do is have a home page that looks like this -
and then a series page which looks like this - (and you can see the mini series title at the bottom, so I want those mini series to stay in)
I also want to remove this Contact text from this page too
Hi @GinaSArtist Debut is a vintage theme, to have sections everywhere upgrade to an online-store-2.0 theme such as Dawn or it's offshoots.
You may probably be trying to customize a static section in a vintage theme, plenty of old posts on this by doing the research.
Generally you need to at minimum rename the duplicate section so names are unique.

There are also advanced articles/posts on the internet/forums on workarounds for "sections-everywhere" in vintage themes.
